MakerPlot-J is a computer application to accept serial data for plotting, logging and monitoring from microcontrollers or other devices.
It also allows interactive control with the controller.
Make GUIs without a microcontroller involved – See Video #6
MakerPlot-J is NOT O-Scope software (though it can be used as such under some uses). Our examples show sine waves because they are simple to generate with code or a function generator as examples of data.
The normal use is for plotting, monitoring and logging of system parameters, such as:
Position
Temperature
Pressure
Voltage
Pump Status
Heater Status
Etc.
It may also be used to control a system, such as heaters, motors, fans, valves, etc., such as in the PID Example further below.

Use one of the installed interfaces or design your own.

Use MakerPlot-J to monitor and log data or as an
HMI to monitor and control processes, such as this example of PID Control.
